Great ways to share files
We often share files with our clients through email, but when there’s a lot of files or one big file, email is not always suitable for the job. Most email providers have a file-size limit on their email system. I believe the current Sasktel.net email server can handle emails up to 20mb and Gmail goes to 50mb. But what if the file is 75mb? Here are a few solutions.
Dropbox
Dropbox is not only an awesome way to backup and synchronize files, but it’s also great to share files. We use it all the time to share big files with our co-workers and clients. It’s a program that installs on your computer and creates a folder called “My dropbox”. Anything you put in here will be synchronized with the internet for easy access from anywhere (with a password of course). In this folder, there’s also a folder called “Public”. Any file in here can be share with anyone via a simple link. All people have to so is click on the link Dropbox created and they can download the file.
Have a look at Dropbox.
Ge.tt
Ge.tt is a hip new file sharing tool where you don’t have to install anything. You don’t even need an account! All you do is go to http://Ge.tt and click “Select files”. Select the files from your computer and let Ge.tt do the work. You will receive a link to the files that you can share instantly, even when you’re still sending the files to Ge.tt. Make sure you keep your browser window open until the files are done sending!
YouSendIt
Yousendit is a website dedicated to sending big files via email. Go to the website, fill out the form on the front page, skip the paid options and send a big file. It’s as simple as that.
DropSend
Dropsend is the same kind of service as YouSendIt. Go to the site, fill out the form and send the files.
Vistaprint discount links
We like to call ourselves designers, because that is what we do best, and love doing. We ordered business cards and other stationary for our clients from different suppliers, all over the world, until we realized that that’s not why we’re in the business. We like to offer competitive pricing on materials, but as a middle man, it wasn’t worth the hassle of distributing the goods we ordered for our clients, so, we decided to hook you up with one of our suppliers.
VistaPrint Canada provides high quality, premium business cards for a very good price. They also supply posters, post cards, lawn signs, flyers, rack cards, datasheets, and a lot more. We’ve always been happy with the service they supply, and because they ship from Canada, your order will be at your doorstep in a jiffy.
Of course, you can count on us to create the design for you and let Vistaprint do what they do best.
Because we’re excited about our affiliation with VistaPrint Canada, we’d like you to take advantage of some great deals.

We recommend using Google Chrome for the quickest way to surf the web.
Why you DO need a website
This afternoon I was talking to somebody who is opening up his own take-out restaurant. I mentioned if he thought of getting a website, and he told me he didn’t need one. Let me explain why he is wrong.
Everybody with a business needs a website. The days of effectively advertising in the newspaper are over, the phonebook became a fire starter and the pamphlets you sent out in the mail get thrown out as soon as people see the recycling-bin. People turn to the internet for information, and especially with new smart phones coming out with the ability to look up info online, there’s no denying it: you need a website.
About 70% of people in Saskatchewan turn to the internet to find out more about a business before they call or walk in the door.
You don’t have to have a big company to have a website. A website can be as simple as having your menu and phone number online for your take out restaurant. For example, if I want pizza, I want to check out the menu and make my decision in my own time. So, why not have a menu online and make it easy for people to pick their favorite pizza? It also prevents outdated menus and having to disappoint people. Add your phone number and people can make the order. It saves lines of people who can’t decide in your pizza place, and people are in and out in a jiffy.
Add the advantage of a menu-special on the site, which you can prepare in advance (I assume making 5 equal pizzas in 1 shot is easier than making them each separate), and you’re golden.
Ok, I know that’s in a perfect world, but prepared or not, this is where the world is headed.
Scheduled maintenance on our server.
For everyone hosting their website on our server, there will be maintenance scheduled. Please read:
Please be advised that we will be performing a scheduled electrical maintenance at the VANCOUVER Data Center facility, during the following date and time:
Thursday, May 6th, 2010 at 11:00PM PST to Friday, May 7th, 2010 at 05:00AM PST
The building’s electrician team will be replacing a source breaker. Unfortunately, the replacement of the breaker cannot be done when the circuits are live, meaning our service provider will power down the servers and repower the servers once the breaker has been replaced. There will be a downtime of 15-30 minutes during this replacement period.
Thank you.

Receive money quick via Paypal
Time isn’t always on your side when you want it to. Your client needs you to send their order right away, but you need them to pay upfront. Since Canadian banking isn’t the most progressive in the world, it can be stressful to get that order out the door.
There is a simple solution, called Paypal. Let me show you how you can get this order out the door quickly.
